A report's time range sets the window of activity it covers. You choose the time range in the Configure report step of the generation wizard. There are two approaches: a relative range that rolls forward each time the report generates, or specific dates that stay fixed.
Which report types use a time range
| Report type | Time range |
|---|---|
| Compliance Report | Yes |
| Dispenser Activations | Yes |
| Low Soap Dispensers | None |
The Low Soap Dispensers report has no time range. It reflects the dispensers below the Low Refill Threshold at the moment you generate it. For a recurring profile, each generation shows the state as of that generation.
Relative range
A relative range is a rolling window measured back from the moment the report generates. For a recurring profile, this keeps the report current without editing it: a profile set to the last 7 days always covers the 7 days ending at each generation.
Presets:
- Last 24 hours
- Last 7 days
- Last 14 days
- Last 28 days
- Last full day
- Last full week
- Last full month
- Last full 2 weeks
- Custom: the last N days, weeks, or months, where you set the number.
Specific dates
Specific dates set a fixed start and end date. The window does not move. Use specific dates for a one-time report covering a defined period, such as a single month for an audit. A recurring profile set to specific dates generates the same fixed window every time, so a relative range usually fits recurring profiles better.
