Pause a Monitor

Pause a Temp Monitor before performing Storage Unit or Room maintenance or other work that could cause readings to fall outside its threshold range or a monitor hardware error such as disconnecting a probe. When paused mode is on, the Monitor continues to log readings, but threshold alerts and monitor hardware alerts are paused so reading excursions or hardware errors do not generate alerts. Turning on and off paused mode is performed at the Monitor using the Kio Setup Manager mobile app.

Before you begin

• The Kio Setup Manager mobile app is installed on your mobile device.
• Your mobile device's Bluetooth is turned on, and has an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
• You are within Bluetooth range of the Monitor.
• You are assigned a role that can pause Monitors and the Kio Setup Manager installer role for your platform (see Temperature Monitoring user roles).

Steps

1. Open Kio Setup Manager and sign in. See Sign in to Kio Setup Manager (Temperature Monitoring).
2. Tap Devices > locate the Monitor in the device list > tap the Monitor to view its details.
3. Tap Turn on Paused Mode.
4. Complete the planned work.
5. When done, turn off Paused Mode to resume alerts and monitoring.

Result

While paused, the Storage Unit or Room assigned to the Monitor displays Paused in the Monitoring view. The Monitor continues to log readings, but threshold alerts and monitor hardware alerts are paused. The Monitor Offline and Data out of sync alerts are not paused and continue to operate normally.

The measurement history of the Storage Unit or Room assigned to the Monitor records Pause started and Pause ended entries, including who started and ended the pause, and shades the paused period on the measurement chart. Reports also include the paused period. After monitoring resumes (paused mode is turned off), threshold alerts remain paused for the configured alert arming delay while readings stabilize.
