A Temp Monitor Pro has an internal ambient sensor that measures a Room's ambient temperature and humidity when the device monitors a Room. Configuring the ambient sensor updates the Room it is assigned to and the Threshold Setting applied to it, without changing the device's location or monitoring type. Use Configure Ambient Sensor for ambient-only changes, such as assigning a different Threshold Setting to the Room.
This action is for the Temp Monitor Pro only. To change the device's location, or to switch between Room and Storage Unit monitoring, use Reconfigure a Monitor instead.
Before you begin
- The Kio Setup Manager mobile app is installed on your mobile device and you are signed in. See Sign in to Kio Setup Manager (Temperature Monitoring).
- Bluetooth is turned on, your mobile device has an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular), and you are within Bluetooth range of the Temp Monitor Pro.
- You are assigned a Temperature Monitoring role with install access (Administrator, System Manager, or Facilities Manager) and the Kio Setup Manager installer role for your platform. See Temperature Monitoring user roles.
- The Room exists in Smart Location and the Threshold Setting you are assigning exists in Temperature Monitoring.
Tip: Make sure Kio Setup Manager is updated to the latest version. Check for updates in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Steps
- Open Kio Setup Manager and tap Scan.
- When the Temp Monitor Pro appears in the scan list, tap it.
- On the Actions screen, tap Configure Ambient Sensor.
- Confirm or update the Room the ambient sensor monitors, and assign the Threshold Setting for that Room.
- Review the summary and tap Confirm.
Result
The ambient sensor's assignment takes effect immediately, and the Room reflects the new configuration in Temperature Monitoring.
Note: If the Room stays in Data out of sync for more than 10 minutes after a Threshold Setting change, reconfigure the Monitor in Kio Setup Manager. See Reconfigure a Monitor.
