Downloading monitoring data connects to a Monitor over Bluetooth and exports its last 48 hours of raw readings (temperature, humidity, device state, alarm indicators, and error codes) as a file. This is a diagnostic export, used mainly when Kontakt.io support asks for it or when you are investigating an unusual alert and need to see exactly what the device recorded. You download monitoring data with the Kio Setup Manager mobile app.
This is different from synchronizing a Monitor. Synchronizing uploads stored readings into Temperature Monitoring so they appear in reports and history. Downloading monitoring data produces a raw file and does not update Temperature Monitoring. To recover readings that did not upload after a connectivity gap, use Synchronize a Monitor instead.
Before you begin
- The Kio Setup Manager mobile app is installed on your mobile device and you are signed in. See Sign in to Kio Setup Manager (Temperature Monitoring).
- Bluetooth is turned on, and you are within Bluetooth range of the Monitor.
- You are assigned the Facilities Manager, System Manager, or Administrator role, plus the Kio Setup Manager installer role for your platform (see Temperature Monitoring user roles).
Tip: Make sure Kio Setup Manager is updated to the latest version. Check for updates in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Steps
- Open Kio Setup Manager and scan for nearby devices.
- When the Monitor appears, select it.
- Select Download Monitoring Data.
- Stay close to the device while Kio Setup Manager retrieves the readings. Moving out of Bluetooth range can interrupt the download.
- When the download finishes, share or save the file from your device.
Result
You have a file containing the device's last 48 hours of readings. If support requested it, share it the way they specified. The device stores up to 30 days of readings locally, but this export covers only the most recent 48 hours. For older data, use Temperature Monitoring reports, or synchronize the Monitor first to upload all stored readings to the cloud.
